Unusual cast iron tobacco jar in good condition for age , usually a little difficult to age exactly but I would age this on to early Victorian mainly because of its structure and the way it’s bolted together. The newer ones are quite often made in two halves whereas this one has been cast in three different pieces. The base is bolted to the face then you have the lid which is a hat .
